Welcome to the Viticulture and Wine Museum in the underground of the Pezinok Chateau. In the apostolic cellars, every barrel has its own story that reflects the time in which it was made. The oldest of them has been preserved since 1807, where Saint Leopold is depicted. The other barrels show the owners' coats of arms and the portraits of the saint apostles, as carved by a wood-carver of the Slovak Viticulture Association in the first half of the last century. In the cellars you will find objects and tools which our ancestors used in the vineyard. You can see the whole vintage year in an attractive way, where you can find out what kind of things were used to cultivate vineyards, grape harvesting and handling. You will definitely be tempted by a cooper workshop with a vast number of barrel making and repair tools. You can find both large and small old pressing machines for raw grape handling, sophisticated filters for cleaning of stum, or old wine filling machines.
